3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.
3.1 Personal Data
While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
- Email address
- First name and last name
- Phone number
- Address, State, Province, ZIP/Postal code, City
- Cookies and Usage Data
3.5 Tracking Technologies and Cookies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information.
Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Service.
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.
Examples of Cookies we use:
- Session Cookies: We use Session Cookies to operate our Service.
- Preference Cookies: We use Preference Cookies to remember your preferences and various settings.
- Security Cookies: We use Security Cookies for security purposes.
- Advertising Cookies: Advertising Cookies are used to serve you with advertisements that may be relevant to you and your interests.
3.6 Facebook fan league
When you comment on or react to a post on the Dart Gear Competitions Facebook page, Facebook (Meta) tells us. We use this to run our weekly Facebook fan league. For each comment or reaction we receive your Facebook name and the Facebook ID that Facebook gives our page for you, whether it was a comment or a reaction, which post it was on, and when. We do not receive or keep what your comment says, your profile picture, or anything else from your Facebook account.
We use this only to work out the weekly leaderboard, show it on our website and pay the weekly prizes. The public leaderboard shows only your first name, the initial of your surname, your position and your points. It never shows your Facebook ID. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running the league for people who take part on our page.
We keep each record for 35 days, then delete it automatically. That covers the week it counts for, plus time to pay the prizes and answer any questions. If you would rather not appear, message our Facebook page or email [email protected] and we will take you off the leaderboard, delete your records, and you will not appear again. The leaderboard is run for us by our hosting provider, which stores the records on our behalf.
3.7 Players' chat
Our website has a live players' chat. Anyone can read it. To post, you must be signed in to your account. When you post, we keep your message and the time you sent it, the name shown beside it (your first name and the initial of your surname from your account), a scrambled code made from your email address (never the address itself) so we can moderate the chat (for example to mute someone), and a scrambled code made from your internet connection, used only to stop someone who has been banned from coming straight back. We never keep your actual internet (IP) address. We use this only to run and moderate the chat. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe chat for our players. Messages are kept for 30 days, then deleted automatically, and our team can delete any message sooner. Please do not post personal details such as phone numbers or addresses, as everyone can see the chat.
3.8 Head-to-heads and daily challenges
When you take part in a head-to-head or a daily challenge, we keep your invitations and whether you accepted them, your answers and how long they took, the results, and any prize or discount code you won, linked to your account. We use this to run the games, decide and pay the winners, show winners on our website by first name and the initial of their surname, and stop cheating. If you choose not to be invited to head-to-heads, we keep that choice so we do not ask you again. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running games you choose to take part in.
3.9 Alerts on your device
If you choose to turn on alerts, your browser gives us an address at its push service (run by Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft, depending on your browser) and two keys used to lock each message so only your browser can read it. We keep these with the date you turned alerts on, whether you opened our site from your home screen, and, if you were signed in to your account at the time, your account number so we can send alerts meant for players. We do not get your name, email address or phone number this way. We use this only to send you alerts about live draws, new competitions, instant wins and similar news from Dart Gear Competitions, and we count how many people tap each alert. The push service carries each alert to your device but cannot read it. Alerts never contain anything private about your account.
Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by tapping "Turn on alerts" and then allowing notifications when your browser asks. You can withdraw it at any time by turning notifications off for our site in your browser or phone settings. When your browser tells us alerts are off, we delete the address and keys.
Adding our website to your home screen saves a shortcut on your phone so it opens like an app. It does not send us any information.
3.10 Bonus Bullseye
If one of your orders is picked for a Bonus Bullseye, we keep a record linked to your account and order. It shows the prize and wallet, when the dartboard appeared, whether you popped it or it flew away, and when we paid the prize. To show the dartboard to the right person, your order confirmation page sends us your order number and your account number. It sends nothing else about you or your device. We use this record to run the Bonus Bullseye, pay prizes and stop misuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a feature linked to orders you place. The record is kept with your order history, and your personal details are removed from it when your account is deleted.
4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
Dart Gear Competitions uses the collected data for various purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service
- To notify you about changes to our Service
- To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so
- To provide customer support
- To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our Service
- To monitor the usage of our Service
- To detect, prevent and address technical issues
- To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it
- To provide you with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about unless you have opted not to receive such information
- In any other way we may describe when you provide the information
- For any other purpose with your consent
Legends of the Oche (player ranks)
If you have an account, we work out your XP and rank from information we already hold about you: your orders and any refunds, your head-to-head and daily challenge results, and whether your profile is complete. We also record each daily check-in (the date and the XP earned). We use this to show you your rank, to show your rank badge beside your name in the players' chat, and to choose eligible players for free rank-based giveaways. If you win one of these giveaways, we use your name and email address to contact you, and on a live stream we show only your name or your first initial and surname. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a feature you take part in. This information is linked to your account, and your personal details are removed when your account is deleted.
5. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA UNDER GDPR
If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), Dart Gear Competitions legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it.

This information may be retained for a longer period than other personal data to ensure proper delivery of goods and to handle any post-purchase issues that may arise.
7. TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
If you are located outside United Kingdom and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to United Kingdom and process it there.
Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.
Dart Gear Competitions will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.
8. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

- Protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public
